Our Agency

Located in Birmingham, Alabama (near The Summit shopping center), Greenhalgh Insurance Agency, Inc., was established in 1940 by its founder, Ted Greenhalgh. Ted was a respected member of the Birmingham community, with knowledge and wisdom gained through making sure customers were treated fairly and with respect. The Agency grew through its reputation and relationships. In 1977, Russell Greenhalgh, CIC, joined his father in the business. Russell's wife, Marcia, joined the Agency in 1991; Marcia is the Agency's Executive Receptionist and Human Resource Coordinator. Daughter, Ellen Roberts, CIC, joined the Agency in 1997, followed by son, Adam Greenhalgh, in 2005. 

Our Agency may seem small when compared to others (ten licensed and experienced agents, and two administrative persons), however, we handle complex accounts with locations throughout America (some with worldwide exposure).

Our dedication allows us to establish long lasting relationships, and 70 years of experience has taught us to 'do the right thing.' Several of our customers have been with Greenhalgh Insurance Agency, Inc., for over 50 years, and our staff tells us that Greenhalgh Insurance Agency, Inc., is a good place to work.
